Public bug reported: My laptop (Eurocom P170HM Neptune) has 4 speakers.
When i plug the headset in, only two (the main ones) gets muted, while the smaller two front speakers still work) When I noticed that problem, i tried to add the ubuntu-audio-dev ppa to my system, and joy oh joy, it fixed the problem. However after doing a software update yesterday, the problem came back :( :( :( :( I can see there was a new release on the ppa that came out yesterday (2.6.38-.201108271604), so I'm guessing it regressed on that bug :( ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: alsa-base 1.0.24+dfsg-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-11.48-generic 2.6.38.8 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-11-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.23.
