Support for mixed data/metadata is only in the integration branch and not the 2 year old stable branch. $ git clone http://git.darksatanic.net/repo/btrfs-progs-unstable.git $ cd btrfs-progs-unstable $ git branch -a pick the latest integration date and then... $ git checkout integration-YYYYMMDD compile this to get btrfs-utils which support experimental / in testing features.
