To me, this is a bug for !amd64 systems, esp. 32 bit systems. The bug is still there (ie. libmltmotion_est.so still missing) in Ubuntu Natty 11.04 x86.
I think I've found the explanation of the bug. There is a confusing comment in motion_est module's README that may make you think the module requires SSE. In fact, the module is optimized for SSE when --enable-sse is passed to configure, but also has unoptimized support. IMHO, Debian BTS #506844 introduced an inappropriate fix, by disabling altogether motion_est instead of fixing the use of SSE in the module (or mis-enabling SSE where not available?). So let's re-enable it, c.f. mlt-enable-motion_est.patch A quick build check on !x86/!amd64 arch should make the case straight. ** Patch added: "re-enable motion_est module" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mlt/+bug/440983/+attachment/2287161/+files/mlt-enable-motion_est.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/440983 Title: libmltmotion_est.so missing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mlt/+bug/440983/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
