+ click the Highlight button -> No Fill and the highlight is removed.
  
- 1. create a new document in OO.org Writer
- 2. Add some text
- 3. Select some text
- 4. Use the Highlighting tool to add a highlight to the selected text
- 5. Save the document as Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc)
- 6. Open the saved document in Microsoft Word (tested versions: Word 2000 
version 9.0.2720 and Word 2003 SP3 version 11.8227.8221)
- 7. Select the highlighted text
- 8. Use the Highlight tool to choose "None" as the highlight
- 9. The highlight on the text remains
