If this is a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xine-lib/+bug/66832 then we should consider reassigning this bug to somebody else than the Kubuntu-team, because https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xine-lib/+bug/66832 definitely affects Ubuntu as well (using totem-xine).
