Cimmo, thanks. Neither video or audio work for me. My suspicion is that my TV adapter card, a Hauppauge winTV2000 is in conflict with the webcam. Both appear to need /dev/video0. Is there any way around this? Thanks for the compliments! The old ticker keeps on running, thank goodness! But I'm still a linux-challenged newbie.
