Shaking my head in disbelief at what's going on here - a simple feature
that is standard launcher/icon behaviour because intuitive and helpful
is not being implemented even though clicking once on an icon currently
does - nothing. Design? Would Unity fall apart if clicking a launcher
icon minimized the window? Is alienating Ubuntu newcomer expectations so
small a worry?

Seems like a case of a group of people working so hard and focused on
one thing they lose touch with what is common sense and helpful, become
liable to have strange ideas and run with them blindly.
