Public bug reported: After updating to 2.6.38-10 only a terminal appears. Trying 2.3.38-8 again the same results and I have reinstalled the present situation from a backup. This happened three times and is therefor reproducible.
With a fresh install and subsequent update the system froze, but going back to 2.6.38-8 was okay.
