Public bug reported: This bug-description is just to get a bit pressure onto the new oneiric ISO media. The bug I filed here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/787488 seems to be forgotten. But: this is important for new ISO install media! The package vlan is mandatory for everyone in Germany who uses a VDSL modem like me. Otherwise it's not possible to get an internet connection with Ubuntu! I repeat: The vlan package is IMPORTANT for any install media! Now is the time, it's almost feature freeze for oneiric! Please: add the package vlan to the install media! It was a complete mess for me installing natty without the vlan package! I had to use my phone to get the vlan package onto my internet machine... ** Affects: vlan (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed ** Tags: cdrom dsl install iso media natty network oneiric ubuntu -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/820866 Title: ISO install problem: package vlan is missing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vlan/+bug/820866/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
