Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mplayer

In Feisty I noticed an audio lag when playing back divx/xivd movies (audio is
mp3 compressed).
This hasn't been the case in edgy/dapper/breezy ...
If I watch the movies in totem/xine everything is fine -- so I must expect that
the avi-files are not broken.

A temporary workaround is to use "-ac ffmp3" as command-line option.
see bug #85751 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mplayer/+bug/85751

I also noticed, when pressing + or -, in order to shift the audio in time,
mplayer never can go to +/- 0 ms and is always stuck at -48ms.
In gmplayer I even cannot change the lag.

** Affects: mplayer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
