Thanks for your help, Seth. I ran the apport-collect command and changed
the status.

** Description changed:

I have a recently purchased Thinkpad X220 with an i5 processor, and
Intel integrated graphics running Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit with no
proprietary drivers. However, my system has trouble suspending and
hibernating. I'm fine with hibernating not working, but the suspend
issue is very frustrating, as I move a lot throughout the day. I've
noticed that suspend usually works the first time after booting, but
subsequent times usually doesn't work. However, I still haven't been
able to find a definite pattern to the failures. When suspend doesn't
work, the screen goes blank and the moon LED on the cover of the
computer blinks inadvertently. Usually the fans are still on. Once
suspend fails, the computer is gone, and needs a hard reboot. It doesn't
  respond to Ctrl+Alt+Backspace or Ctrl+Alt+F1.

I tried updating the BIOS to the latest release from Lenovo (1.19), and
that didn't work. I also upgraded the kernel to 2.6.39-02063903-generic
#201107091121, but that didn't work either.

- Thanks for your time and help! Also, this is my first time reporting a
- bug, I apologize if I haven't provided all the necessary information.
- Please let me know all I can do to help the process.
