Public bug reported:

JDK and JRE deb packages should be better integrated and use this new
font in GTK look and feel. Vanilla fresh Ubuntu 11.04 use Ubuntu font
size 12 that is matched to very ugly (most probably) Dejavu Sans font
and looks extremely large in comparance to the true native GTK apps.

I suggest that JRE doesn't see Ubuntu font and it has to be added to
/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/jre/lib/fonts. Also mapping has to be set in
some file in /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/jre/lib

I've tried it to map it before, but I was not successful. I hope that
somebody more experienced will help with it.
