thanks for the ack! regarding the SRU: sorry for using the wrong term. the problem is that there is no single patch/commit that could be ported and we don't have the resources to look at 400 commits to find all corner cases and port them. maybe it would be easier to just remove the package from lucid completely. is that possible? flashrom is exceptional because it can be really, really dangerous, more than about any other package in ubuntu (permanent hardware error...). so please think about a solution for this :)
