Hi, I expecting the same issue and started to happen in the last couple of day. A week tops.
I'm using ubuntu 10.04 with 2.6.38-10-generic-pae backport. It worked with that kernel for a while, but after some update in the past days, starting to experience the same issue. It is a Asus UL30A Laptop. Any logs that may help to solve this bug, please ask.
