The PM message is in the attached BootDmesg.txt
[ 4.737062] PM: Hibernation image not present or could not be loaded.
Additional messages would be in userspace but these messages are hidden
by Ubuntu to the point that screens are completely turned off during
boot. I can't tell if there was a broken image or no image.

I can reproduce the issue by booting Linux 3.0.0-2, suspending, and
booting 3.0.0-5. The system boots once, while the screen is off it
reboots, and on the next boot it performs a fresh boot.

This means that linux 3.0.0-5 cannot resume earlier images and should
*not* be booted if suspend to disk was performed with earlier kernel.
