I have the same problem on my ThinkPad T42 2373-Y9H... recently after
upgrading to Feisty. Removing stopping bluetooth service and removing
bluetooth modules (bluetooth, rfcomm, l2cap) doesn't help. I can't try
the "stop wifi" workaround because I actually use wifi to connect to the
Internet.
Description of the notebook can be found at:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/product.do?subcategoryind=0&familyind=171864&brandind=10&doccategoryind=0&modelind=198847&doctypeind=2&validate=true&partnumberind=0&sitestyle=lenovo&template=%2Fproductpage%2Flandingpages%2FproductPageLandingPage.vm&operatingsystemind=49979&machineind=171874

The requested information is attached (in one file, separated off by
line of dashes).

** Attachment added: "dmesg, lspci, uname, lsusb"
