I have the same problem here as well with my MX5000 set. I have to unplug and replug the USB bluetooth dongle (BT 2.0 EDR) when KDM or GDM start. If I boot into the recovery mode terminal, the keyboard works and I can start KDM/GDM from there with no problems. I have not tried removing bluez yet.
