Leo, thanks for the response. Even after installing Addon Compatibility Reporter I'm still unable to install AutoAuth as-is in my TB 5.0. I've made the change to install.rdf similar to the one described by brian (comment #47) and that helped.
The thing is that criticism in comment #28 still applies. I don't think that it's a correct way to do things. As far as I understand the problem itself lies somewhere in the base Mozilla code which is used by all the products. The workaround with the AutoAuth is not perfect and hard to find. E.g. this problem is bugging me for more than a year, and only today I finally found this bugzilla issue. It was easier for me to go looking for alternatives to TB..
