I have an ao522. In my case, the problem is with the wireless support. When I connect to my wireless, shortly after (immediately or sometimes after a delay) the system locks up hard. No X updates (clock on desktop does not advance). No response to keyboard or mouse or soft poweroff.
This is a fresh install of 11.04 i386, with updates. When it locked up for the first time, I installed the proprietary WL driver. It still locks up. Here's what lspci -vnn says about the wireless: 07:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller [14e4:4727] (rev 01) Subsystem: Broadcom Corporation Device [14e4:0510] Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 19 Memory at f0100000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K] Capabilities: <access denied> Kernel driver in use: wl Kernel modules: wl, brcm80211 ** Package changed: ubuntu => broadcom-sta (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/785569 Title: Ubuntu 11.04 freeze on Acer AO 522 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/null/+bug/785569/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
