Thank you for this bug report. Ubuntu only provides the older version
0.8.4 of the Democracy Player for Edgy. For problems with version
0.9.5.3 you will have to talk to the Democracy Player developers
directly to sort out if that problem is due to that new front page
interface in that newer version. Their bug report system is at:

I believe version 0.9.6 is coming soon, so hopefully this bug will be
solved in that latest version.
