Now thats interesting. Last night I installed a new nVidia driver and got it working fine. Booted up this morning - that was fine as well
After a long(!) time - several hours as opposed to 20-30 minutes, I got the slow-down again. Logged out and in again and it seemed to work. Shut down. Booted up and hey presto - my new nVidia driver not working again!? Had to uninstall the nouveau driver and re-install nVidia - now working again. So it seems to me, that after a while the driver-unity-glx combo (or whatever) becomes so corrupt, it actually harms the xorg setup ... or perhaps I'm just being a cleverdick-ignoramus :-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/764330 Title: Move window annoying slow with compiz To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/764330/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
