I have attempted to use the database program within OpenOffice.Org 2.2
that is part of Ubuntu 7.04. The two following issues ALWAYS occur:
1. When attempting to use the Form Wizard - when you complete the design
of the form and press "Finish" nothing happens. The form has been
created (or partially created this is not clear) - it can be seen behind
the wizard. If you cancel or close the wizard, the form disappears.
2. When you select the Report Wizard - The OpenOffice Writer opens in
the background - as it should. However, the wizard never opens and you
just set waiting for something to happen - the wizard NEVER appears.
I have tried this on an intel machine that was upgraded from Ubuntu 6.06
LTS (OpenOffice Base worked correctly). The machine was then upgraded to
Ubuntu 6.10 (OpenOffice Base worked correctly).
I installed the Ubuntu 7.04 distribution (with OpenOffice 2.2) on an AMD
64 4000+ machine and had the same errors.
I downloaded OpenOffice 2.2 for Windows and found that it worked
correctly.
Is there an error in the distribution for Ubuntu 7.04 for OpenOffice
2.2?
