Although upgrade log was not present, that was the option I selected
when I attempted the installation. Crash may have occurred too early to
create upgrade log. I had no idea what the progress of the installation
was. The drive on which the earlier installation was discovered was
added to this machine, this machine is a new build running a cloned
drive. The drive was taken from a 32 bit machine, this is a 64 bit
machine. The drive on which the linux OS resided is not the boot drive
on this machine, it is a secondary drive. No functional grub appeared on
this installation previous to this installation attempt. I did not
realize 9.04 resided on a secondary drive when I attempted the
installation, but I surmised it might be an easier installation since I
though no new partitioning would be necessary.
