** Description changed:

  Installed gtk-recordmydesktop and recordmydesktop, but frontend doesn't
appear in dash. (Summary attached as text file)
  $ dpkg -l recordmydesktop
  ii  recordmydesktop            0.3.8.1+svn602-1ubuntu3
  $ dpkg -l gtk-recordmydesktop
  ii  gtk-recordmydesktop        0.3.8-3ubuntu5

  In order to visual describe another bug started recordmydesktop in a terminal
without options, which resulted in corrupted video.
  This option didn't corrupt the video.
  $ recordmydesktop --width 1360 --height 768 --follow-mouse

  In addition, when running in a terminal it displays on each vertical edge of
the screen two small white lines side by side, the whole length from top to
bottom of screen. (Unable to make a screenshot the white lines aren't captured.)
  They don't disappear when the video is finished.
  In order to make the lines vanish recordmydesktop needs to be killed by pid,
because it's still running.
+ Update: After recent updates from July 9th, white lines vanish now when video
is encoded and finished.
