Thanks for the reply @madbiologist , I have ran totem through the 11.10 live cd (today's download build), and installed Totem with the MP3 codecs... same issue. More information though. The issue appears to be when Totem does not have focus and the sidebar closed. Once focus was given to totem then the title bar did update. I also have verified that in the current release for 11.04 that the title does not update unless you open the sidebar. ALSO.. in the current version even if you do have the sidebar opened it will not update (even if you click the Next Chapter / Movie) it will change the song, but not the title... you must close and then reopen the sidebar, this does not matter if the application has focus or not.
