** Description changed:

  Installing Ubuntu 10.04.2 on HP Probook 6560b did not initially support any 
network interfaces.
  The wired network (according to spec) was Intel 82579LM. A workaround was to 
download and install e1000e-1.3.17.tar.gz from Intel's driver pages. The manual 
installation however broke networkmanager a bit.
