Actually, the bug you reported in bug #805114 seems to be fixed in evolution 3.1.2 (the current version in Oneiric): If you are in the work week view and change the month in the little calendar in the left sidebar, the view remains in work week mode. The same is true for the month and the list view, the week view however always switches to the day view. The OP in this bug report did not mention changing months but selecting a specific day from the calendar -- this still always changes the view into day view. I'll update the upstream bug accordingly.
