I tried with a demangled symbols file (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sunpinyin/2.0.3-2ubuntu1), but that still failed. At this point I think the possible gain from symbols files is just not worth the pain of maintaining them, and I uploaded https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sunpinyin/2.0.3-2ubuntu2 which simply uses dh_makeshlibs -V.
