Public bug reported:

Hello,

When I open the list of channels for an IRC server in pidgin (with IRC
helper plugin enabled), pidgin behaves very strange:

The channellist-window stays on top (I'm unable to select other pidgin
windows), and pidgin doesn't react any longer. In case that a channel is
open in pidgin, this channel is still updated (i.e. messages are still
displayed), but I'm unable to change to another channel tab or close any
open pidgin window, even not the channellist-window. Only the menu in
top panel (unity) is responsive, the pidgin windows themself aren't.
Neither the close/minimize/maximize buttons, nor any other buttons do
react. I'm even unable to write in a chat window.

This renders all pidgin windows useless. Only solution is to close
pidgin over the menu (Buddys -> Beenden), and start it again.
