Unity has a whitelist of systray indicators to deal with the problem of applications clogging the indicator space. However if you want to you can run:
gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist "['JavaEmbeddedFrame', 'Mumble', 'Wine', 'Skype', 'hp-systray', 'ekiga']" in a terminal and then 'unity --replace &' (or log out and back in again) and the Ekiga icon will appear. Same applies for any application. --- Ubuntu Bug Squad volunteer triager http://wiki.ubuntu.com/BugSquad ** Changed in: ekiga (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/801525 Title: Ekiga doesn't show tray icon in Unity To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ekiga/+bug/801525/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
