Unity has a whitelist of systray indicators to deal with the problem of
applications clogging the indicator space. However if you want to you
can run:

gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist
"['JavaEmbeddedFrame', 'Mumble', 'Wine', 'Skype', 'hp-systray',
'ekiga']"

in a terminal and then 'unity --replace &' (or log out and back in
again) and the Ekiga icon will appear. Same applies for any application.
