Hi Michael, "Fix released" means that the bug is fixed in the latest Ubuntu version... so that is the correct status here. If you're interested in getting the fix applied to an older version of Ubuntu, then you have two options:
1) Request a stable-release update (SRU)... meaning that a patch will be applied to the older package. This is normally only done in exceptional cases, when a bug is causing a big problem for a lot of users. The rationale is basically "better the devil you know", in that it's better to accept the existence of a few well-documented bugs than it is to take the risk of introducing new problems by modifying the code. Please see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates 2) Request that the package gets backported to the old version of Ubuntu. In other words, make a newer version of Shotwell available in Maverick.
