Public bug reported: When I updated Ubuntu via the update manager - Update Manager broke my NVidia Drivers, and Unity wouldn't load, it said I should be using the classic desktop, surprising as It's not exactly a "crap computer" Anyway, I downloaded NVidia's drivers from their website and I killed X and GDM, I installed the drivers NVidia provided, thankfully, I've got a working desktop again now. I assume the bug is with nvidia-graphics- drivers, but I have no idea.
Specs: 4GB DDR3 1TB HD NVidia GTS 250 i5 650 That's all that should be at all necessary.. right? After all, I believe the bug is in the NVidia drivers downloaded from the repo. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/798990 Title: Unity doesn't load after update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/798990/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
