Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: bash

After I created the file ~/.inputrc with the single line "completion-
ignore-case", I do not get the expected behaviour (e.g. typing the
letter "d" and hitting tab once or twice should suggest e.g.
"Documents", "Desktop" and "Downloads". Instead the key "c" stopped
working in that shell (Shift-C do give me a capital C, but the lower
case c does not work).

A second line "visible-stats" in ~/.inputrc gives the same behaviour of
the key "s" (but no visible stats).
