I can confirm this behaviour, using Lubuntu in a VM when killing lxsession CPU usage drops down to usual levels and logs the user out of Lubuntu. Upon logging back in lxsession resumes using 100% CPU.
I have also marked bug 796843 lxtask shows 100% CPU usage regardless of actual usage as a duplicate. ** Changed in: lxsession (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/797094 Title: lxsession in Lubuntu uses 100% CPU To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxsession/+bug/797094/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
