Every time I go to use the floppy disk, I find it broken and need to hack my system to fix it.
I just did a clean install of 11.04, and the first thing I found was that, as Ian pointed out, my user did not have permission to access the floppy drive. But giving my user access did not solve the problem. I am unable to downgrade udisks because the package->force version is grayed out, and I can't figure out a way to let synaptic know about older versions. Could this PLEASE be one of the things that is always tested on every version update? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/593140 Title: Floppy drive stopped recognising media again To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/util-linux/+bug/593140/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
