I get this too, exactly as described in the initial bug report, with Ubuntu 11.04 on a HP Pavillion DV6-1210SA with an ATI card and the fglrx drivers. Is there any movement on getting it fixed please? It is definitely my number 1 gripe with Ubuntu.
It definitely seems to be related to suspending whilst there is some swap usage. Upon resume kswapd just goes mad and keeps moving things to swap until it is 100% full. The only way I can stop it is by either 'sudo swapoff -a' or reboot. Has anyone come up with a workaround if a fix isn't available yet (it has been 2 years since the initial report, it seems it is being avoided!)?
