I'd like to add my voice to asking for better support for FFM. It's /the/ usability reason for my choosing to work on Linux, and is getting to be /the/ reason for not using Unity (I have technical reasons for working on Linux, too, but they don't count much in a usability context).
I'd be happy enough if Unity simply did not put the menu into the global menu bar if FFM is enabled.
