You have been subscribed to a public bug: since upgrading to Lucid Lynx powerdevil is unable to control screen brightness on Lenovo Thinkpad T60p when changing power profile (e.g. "Performance" to "Powersave") brightness/backlight will de set to level 0 using slider in battery plasmoid will set brightness to 0 too
