I assume your gnome-terminal is GNOME > Terminal 2.32.1? Also, I assume this doesn't happen in any other > applications (e.g. Firefox, where the title also changes)
robin@ub01:~$ gnome-terminal --version GNOME Terminal 2.32.1 When i use metacity as window manager it get changed right away. When i use compiz as a windowmanager (by selecting it in compiz-fusion) the title only changes after maximizing the window. Recently i noticed that the fglrx driver i use had stability problems (it freezes my desktop when using compiz every now and then) could this driver also be the problem with the screen title? > -- > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/772960 > > Title: > Terminal only sets title after maximize/unmaximize > > Status in Unity: > Incomplete > Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: > Incomplete > > Bug description: > When i alter the title in gnome-terminal with Terminal->Set Title, the > new title still says the default "Terminal" it is only after > maximizing the window and then de-maximizing it again the new title is > shown. > > The new title should be visible immidiately after setting it in > Terminal->Set Title. > -- Robin van Leeuwen | http://www.rldsoftware.nl | Public Key: http://www.rldsoftware.nl/key.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/772960 Title: Terminal only sets title after maximize/unmaximize -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
