I downloaded the iso from here: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/download
1st time at ~29. April.
To burn the CD-RW, I used ImgBurn on Windows XP.
To prepare the USB-Stick, I used the Ubuntu build-in Live media creator from 
System menu.
2nd time, ~4 weeks later, I downloaded it again and compaired the 2. They were 
bit to bit equivalent.

Can't remember, that I have any options selected.

Nothing did appear translated except the launch screen: "Try Ubuntu" -> "Ubuntu 
ausprobieren".
While booting from CD-RW, English was preselected.
While booting from USB-Stick, Deutsch was preselected.
