Please attach /var/lib/dpkg/alternatives/gnome-www-browser. It's most
likely some sort of file corruption but the content of this file will
make this clearer.

If the file is empty, you can close this bug as the fix has been
integrated in upstream dpkg already. Otherwise it's likely some file
system corruption on your side.
