I'm running the latest BIOS update (A06) on a Vostro v130, and it
randomly freezes. It makes it through installation, but will randomly
and completely freeze when under high load. It appears to lock up under
high load even when the Atheros network card is disabled via the
hardware switch.

Running under 10.04 did not have these issues; it never locked up even
under high load.

The full steps to reproduce, and the associated symptoms:

1) Start the system, log in to Unity.
2) Put the system under heavy IO load. I've done this using rsync via both the
WiFi interface and the wired ethernet interface (the latter with both the WiFi
interface active and inactve).
3) After anywhere from five minutes to an hour, the system completely freezes.
It is not possible to switch virtual terminals, the system does not respond to
any network traffic (ping, SSH), and it is completely unresponsive.
