The panel failed to start. Icons on the desktop kept moving up and down, and
this indicated that the panel was partially starting, reserving the space at
the top of the screen, end exiting continuously. I killed the panel process.
Suddenly it appeared, displaying a message that an applet was crashing. It
asked me to delete the applet. I did. The panel has worked flawlessly since
then.
