Then, with sudo, edit /usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/99video and in function suspend_video() replace: sysctl -w kernel.acpi_video_flags=$acpi_flag with sysctl -w kernel.acpi_video_flags=8 Then reboot. Suspend. Then resume. Watch the keyboard LEDs they *should* flash 3 times if S3 is resuming reliably back to the kernel. If you don't see any keyboard LEDs flash when a hang occurs, we know it's more likely to be a BIOS issue.
