I should say, I don't like this idea, but I am not a GCC maintainer. If you want to take this idea to g...@gcc.gnu.org, or better still send a patch to gcc-patc...@gcc.gnu.org, and the maintainers approve it, then I will be happy to backport it to all Linaro GCC compilers.
