Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: thinkfan

Hello,

thinkfan in Ubuntu Natty doesn't support the new temperature sensors. By
default, it tries to read /proc/acpi/ibm/thermal, which is not provided
by the thinkpad_acpi kernel module in Natty an longer. Instead, coretemp
kernel module is required, and the following lines need to be added to
/etc/thinkfan.conf:

sensor /sys/devices/platform/coretemp.0/temp1_input
sensor /sys/devices/platform/coretemp.2/temp1_input
sensor /sys/devices/virtual/hwmon/hwmon0/temp1_input

I found this information at http://thinkpad-wiki.org/Thinkfan

Greetings,
 jonas
