Public bug reported: Binary package hint: lightdm
Availability: Currently in Universe Rationale: LightDM has been proposed as the display manager to use in Oneric, see https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/desktop-o-lightdm Security: No known security problems, should have a security review before Oneric release. Quality assurance: Package installs and works with only prompting being which display manager to use by defaults. There are bugs that will need to be fixed during the Oneric cycle, but nothing critical that stops it being used. UI Standards: Default GTK greeter uses gettext, GNOME standards, but will be replaced with a Unity greeter for Oneric final (this will be a separate package and project to lightdm).
