Note that the non-printing extra functions of HPLIP (which you can reach
via the HP Toolbox) work only with built-in network adapters in the
printer or with original HP JetDirect print server boxes. So if your
printer is on a parallel or USB port of the Netgear you will not have
the extra functions. If your printer's internal network adapter is
connected to an ethernet port of your Netgear everything should work.

Don, Raghu, can you have a look at the crash? In case the user's
configuration is not compatible with HPLIP it should get a decent error
message and not crash.
