Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Note: To confirm this bug I had to revert libpulse0 to the previous
version, libpulse0 1:0.9.19-0ubuntu4, so the automatic reporting
information will be wrong and I don't see a way to change it. This bug
occurs in the current release of libpulse0, libpulse0 1:0.9.22~0.9.21
+stable-queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu14.
With libpulse0 1:0.9.22~0.9.21+stable-queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu14
installed, Zsnes only generates corrupted save states that cause Zsnes
to segfault if you try to load them. This renders Zsnes all but
nonfunctional. Zsnes works fine in libpulse0 1:0.9.19-0ubuntu4, so one
of the changes in libpulse0 1:0.9.22~0.9.21+stable-
queue-32-g8478-0ubuntu14 introduces the problem.
To reproduce the bug:
1) Install and start Zsnes.
2) Load a rom. (I've verified this bug on Chronotrigger and Final Fantasy 5
roms.)
3) Try to create a save state, using the hotkey or the menu.
4) Load the save state: Zsnes will crash with a segfault.
I don't have the technical skills to diagnose why exactly this happens.
I've also reported this bug on the Zsnes forums.
