This is still an issue in Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal) final release. To use an Ubuntu 64-bit live cd on a Mac or Macbook with EFI, you need to download the amd64+mac iso. http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/11.04/release/
